Whats the difference between vibram and topy? Does that also include the heels?

Vibram and Topy are just manufacturers of rubber soles. Both offer a variety of styles of good quality, you can choose to do heel or no heel.

Topy is thinner is the only thing I gathered when shown the two sheets. Color can be slightly different hue i.e. red for Louis Vuitton

I also do not think the vibram includes heel when I took in my boots today. Just the underside of the vamp

$105 for two pairs vibram sole is okay I guess. Is Jesse any better and more competitive pricing? He did a pretty good job adding side zips to a pair of boots once FWIW.

Thanks for the info.

I was trying to figure out what the difference in price was between vibram and topy, I guess just the quality/thickness?

the average price seems to be about $30-$40 in vancouver

thinner topys might be better to maintain the appearance of a shoe, but could also wear out faster

Hows the quality of work though? I've seen some cheaper jobs that just looks bad. The edges arent glued down properly or shaved down smoothly, uneven cut and shape.

I pay like $25-$30 for heel and sole, $35-$40 if I need heel repair/build up.
You need to find a trusty local, the known places feed off that and up their pricing.
My guy is hella good and sometimes he even goes down from his original quotes when I pick up my shoes.
Probably helps that I'm a regular and always tip him well. Shout out my boy Leo. Mexican cobblers get it poppin.

Not sure about any specific cobblers, but check around Green Park, Marylebone and places like that, cobblers there will be more used to working on higher quality stuff.

Love perry's
I have had a few pairs done and they are all perfect. The cobbler has been in business for a very long time at the same location.

Paging Eton97 for London based cobblers.

I personally use FJ Western.

Make sure your cobblers are balancing out you boots after a adding rubber too
