1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Now I am too am part of the white boot club, alongside new inductee nicelynice. I think CCP/a1923 does the best bone/off white boots and guidi does the best pure white boot personally. Used from Sargill off sz.

Honestly I think yours are nicer... these are more pure white (with imperfections ccp style) instead of a nice bone, but I also have always wanted a pair of tornados so vaguely two birds with one stone.

And it's cuba so scarred horse/cordovan... instead of smooth which I'd prefer. Always thought my first pair of tornadoes would be a grey or bright blue... ohwell.

    yeah dem white boots....

That got me thinking of posting a harem shot of all my white boots and hitops/sneakers. Then I realized how self indugent and stupid that was.

Then I realized that I am self indulgent and stupid, so I should really just own it.

Then I got tired of thinking and made myself a g&t

Are people in this thread really suggesting him to buy CM brands and not Individual sentiments?

    So guys.
Wanted to tell you a story about a really great experience.
Got in-touch with James Kearns who makes handmade custom sneakers in London.
I wanted a pair of sneakers that didn't cost £1000+, were grey horse leather, high tops etc etc - ultimately I had a shopping list of requests that nobody could fulfil. Plus I needed something that I could comfortably wear while playing with the kids, kicking a ball around, messing around in the woods etc etc without worrying about the damage I was doing to the resale value!!
He's a really really great guy and a very talented individual.

    Here is his website;
    http://www.jameskearns.co.uk

To cut a very long story short, we met up several times in person and discussed my request. He brought over many different skins so that I could pick the exact one that would be used for my sneakers - a beautiful thick grey horse skin from guidi, and then I had a million potential options: 6 hole, 7 hole, rusted eyelets vs chrome eyelets, stitching colour, sole colour, the leather band around the sole colour etc etc. a really fantastic experience and a lot of fun.
Once finalised, he kept me updated with production pictures of the whole process.

Honestly a truly great experience and I was literally like a kid in a candy shop (or a pig in shit - whichever is the better experience.)

He hand delivered them over to me yesterday and I am truly over the moon.
Quality wise, far superior to my £1200 Augusta buffalo sneakers...and far far more comfortable. The interior is finished as nicely as the exterior which is not what simone dies with his sneaks.
Slightly more bulky (requested) so they are somewhat more like a boot/CCP'esque.
    And more than 50% cheaper!!!!

All I can say is if you are looking for a very specific sneaker and don't want to shell out £1200-£1600 (Augusta/CCP) then get in touch. He's completely trustworthy, amazing to deal with, and turnaround from finalising design to delivery was less than 2 weeks.

Been following him on SZ, have to say those look fantastic - definitely the best sneaker done in that aesthetic, I like those far better than CCP or A1923. Sounds like a cool experience!!

    Thanks buddy.
A seriously amazing experience. Had I thought about it before hand, I wouldn't have bothered buying the Augusta. For the same price I could have bought 2-3 of James' trainers in custom leathers/colours and designs. Plus it's great supporting local and up-and-coming talent.
