1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Awesome find, thank you very much! I'll give them a call and see if I can negotiate a decent price, much prefer to deal in person. Would make a nice weekend trip too, my wife wants to see the Capybaras at the zoo near there...

Yep, 10sei0otto. I like them but I have found them only at fascinate and I'd prefer a retailer in EU. I'll keep looking.

Probably returned because of sizing issues, the two pairs of 10 sei 0 otto I've tried ran at least one size large.

One last white boot question, and I'm done, I promise!!

These following links are the same leather, right? Vertice London lists them as cordovan leather while Atrum has them as oiled culatta leather.
Culatta is just the back part of an animal in leather lingo, yeah? And I've never seen any A1923 use cow leather.

The Vertice boot looks like a lot less Guidi-style "folding" on the front of the boot, but that's likely just a result of the photography

I feel like this discussion has happened before, apologies for the repeat

    They are the identical boot.
I tried on the white side zip and FYI they come up 1 size large.
So just to be clear I bought the sz43 horse double zip which was the same sz on my feet as the sz42 white single zip.
And re folding - every pair has it's own characteristics as the folding/creasing is manually done while the boots are wet.

Would anyone happen to know the difference in height between Guidi 986s and 988s (measured from the sole or the shaft, either is fine)?

    Many thanks

    EDIT: Clarification

Sorry, I meant to say I was wonder what the height difference was measured "from the sole or the shaft", not the difference in the heel height. [IMG]

on the practical note of wearing backlaces, 63m especially:
cut allows you to fold the fuckers out to expose usually amazing colors of inner layer.

I have a pair of A1923 derbies that are cow leather. There have also been some pieces made with 'bull' leather.

Question for boots with higher heels vs lower ones:

For the higher heels, do people experience lower back pain or soreness while or after wearing them?

Some examples would be CCP or Double Stacked Guidi vs A1923 or regular Guidi heel height.

I have no issues with my Guidis or when I wore A1923, but have soreness and pain in my back only after maybe 15 min of wearing my CCP and for the whole day afterwards.

I wear my CCP derbyz 3-4x/week and have never had a problem specifically from them.
I do get a bad back/shoulders, but that's from sitting in front of computer screens 12hrs a day.
