1974- Those boots can all be special ordered with out the leather flaps on the heel right? I was told this but just want to confirm.

just called Holger (owner from hide-m) and yes, both is possible. he ordered 2 goodyear workboots without the leather flaps on the heel.
one in cow leather, one in calf.
btw, i wear the workboot in cow leather, it is fantastic. i love the shape and the work is perfect. I can highly recommend the shoes and boots from IS

yes, but goodyear and GUIDI leather = highest quality

same work and quality as A1923 and m.a+ but these are more expensive!!!!!

U, would love to hear more about the Guidi treatment; nice to see them experimenting with more treatments. Guidi & Rosellini project coming sounds interesting as well.

/\ Have not handled them yet. The AW13-14 showroom pics had the same boot in a 2 tone leather.
Guidi is coming up with a lot more variations; quad thickness sole/heel, metal on heel, rubberized leather.... Wonder what they will come up with for SS14?

the new GUIDI rubber treatment is calling GOMMA and available in calf leather only i think.
have seen some showroom pics and it looks very similar to the cordovan cont leather imo, smooth and reversed look.
