1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

Yeah dude just see if eckblk can help you source some. Pretty sure not a single pair enters any market without his knowledge including NIB pairs. You know eckblk's the man.

do you have any reason for thinking that there's something inferior about the junhashimoto model?

I doubt he really believes it's an inferiorly produced product other than in a cachet sense :)

Are Jun's made in Italy or Japan?

    Regardless, replicas are foul.

Jun's replicas are authorized, they're not counterfeits or something. Would you rather a good design have died with Carpe rather than have someone who has permission to release it keep going with it? (And Jun's model is not identical to Carpe's.)

I know they're authorised. It's still someone else's design he's selling. And I'd much rather it die off and see what offspring develop. At least Amadei and Simone mixed it up with their ongoing offerings.

I haven't handled any of Jun's, but I just did a quick google image search on them to compare against my CDiem back zips and the only difference was a rounder edge where the two upper portions meet. Correct me if I'm wrong on that one.

The Julius boots I picked up are really well built, although not exactly light. It's nice when you get something you know was built to last.

Actually, I have to side with fist here. I actually have no issues with Jun's replicas with regards to quality, but I don't like it for the same reason I could never like H&M or other fast fashion brands: you're profiting off the innovation of others. It's not like Jun made any efforts to improve on the product. It's almost an exact 1:1 copy.

A Picasso isn't a Picasso unless Picasso made it. It can be close, but it's never the same. The most difficult wall a protege has to overcome is the one where he separates himself from his mentor's shadow.

A connoisseur of jet's level should never settle for second best :foo:
