    cheers - its always nice to look at pictures.....

    If i could only own 1 piece of footwear out of all the stuff i've owned or currently own; in terms of versatility, construction and leather, it would probably be my current augusta workboots.....then the black ccp tornadoes.....

    eck, I handled them at a cdg store in tokyo. Haven't seen if maxfields is caring them. I doubt they are though.

    do you guys use shoetrees for the augustas/a1923s?

    i generally use shoe trees for all my shoes but feel like for a1923 it goes against its "do not handle with care" concept...

    i dont use shoe trees, let augusta do its thing, also the toe box may get messed up due to the upturned toe

    I still haven't bought anything from him, but he seems scary amounts of helpful from the little we've talked.

    Incidentally, keep in mind that the curved sole is a giant pain in the ass to get vibramed. I just got back from my cobbler, which constituted a 40-minute long discussion involving a notary public, a pair of women bystanders weeping hysterically, and a string quartet.
