    It does look like horse, not cordovan. Horse is a better choice than shell for back/sidezips anyway IMO.

    Not really a fan of that shape for a zip boot though.

    well cordovan is horse, so saying it looks like horse and not cordovan makes no sense. it's like saying "looks like footwear, not boots"

    guidi does not produce, nor use shell cordovan. Horween is the only tannery to still produce shell cordovan. "cordovan" is thrown around because it's sexier than "horse." Whenever carpe diem or layer-0 used shell, it was horween.
