There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

So how do you join Vitamori? Is it by invitation? I tried to sign up, but nothing yet... I really want to get in on the Julius sale and maybe some backzips! [IMG]

Vibram is thicker, topy is thin and better for dress shoes, i lean to vibram for both

The brown laceup Guidis arrived. They are really cool. It's a deep marbled brown with lots of black undertones. I sure hope they stretch because my feet are too wide for them and pressing up on the sides.

    Shoe trees or no?

Wear them for a week or two, deal with the pain, end up with the most comfortable boots.

Honestly thought they would be lighter. Still gorgeous tho. Well done caveat, well done.

K in light of what has emerged as a chronically dour mood in the balla sneak thread (doing some catch up here) I’m going to take your words with some salt. Sorry man. I see you gots the sasquachin disease too so let’s just stay optimistic on this one. The Guidi Gods will make a boot that fits a 13 and I will put my foot in that boot and be tres pleased about it. fin

Try looking into a special order for larger Guidi sizes- I don't recall seeing anything larger than a 46 but it's with a shot.

New SS13 A1923 still arriving @ Archive. Calf with Hemp Laces.

dotcomz- They are lighter than that, I just suck at photos. But they are a little darker than I expected which pleases me.

FWIW, those guidi laceups fit about a half size tighter than my backzips. I was surprised that my backzips weren't tighter when I got them after studying the sizing advice on here. But the laceups are more in line with what everyone says.

Do C Diem boots have any identifying marks I can look for?

The ones I got on ebay are beautiful, fit like people have described here, but have absolutely no branding in/on them at all. They were also almost brand new, they had only been tried on and the black coating on the soles wasn't worn off. I put more wear on them in the hour I wore them around the house then they had when I got them.

If they are "vintage" like the seller described and made many years ago as a custom boot, it is be possible they were made by the same bootmaker that makes C Diem but not branded as such, or they may be a recreation...

Also, the boots I got have no rubber on the heel to wear and replace, so I dropped them off at the cobbler to get Vibram soles on both the heel and forefoot.

Love those A1923 but those are some ugly laces.

The are regular CDiem. S24M is the model I think. Cdiem for the most part has no branding. Some boots released in 2006 or so have a ss cdiem emblem/plate nailed to the bottom of the sole.

Everything coming for AW13 has those kind of laces- I'm sure some boots/shoes will ship with regular laces too.
