So, Brad, you are raving about boots that you sold out on?

brad why are you always jumping at the innate useless arguments, i chose to compare the two, its ok, you can disagree

I'm pretty sure he's just pointing out that buttero has more good looking boots than are shown. I know I've only ever seen the lace up combat boots at Barney's.

No, I'm pointing out that Buttero makes a lot of solid looking models but never gets discussed. I sold a pair of shoes because they were too tight and I got a similar pair that I liked more. WTF?

I do disagree. And I posted as much. Not much of an argument – your comparison just isn't relevant.

    This thread is insane.

I don't know - I'd rather have more info than less info. To the average reader here, without intimate knowledge of the brands, it's helpful to know what they are getting for their money. Pricing isn't that crazy far off, either. Buttero is what, $450? You can get new A1923 for ~$1.2k without too much work. The same comparisons are done over and over on the MC side with brands like C&J/Carmina and Edward Green/Lobb. One is 2-2.5x the price of the other, yet people wonder "is this worth it?" I am sure people who read this thread wonder the same thing.

    dunno
quality isn't even all the reason to buy CCP or Augusta anyways, and it's not necessarily why they cost so much. It's really hard in general to compare boots, its really about what aesthetic direction your taking. If someone is after the highest quality boot and shit, the go to answer shouldn't be, "OH CCP."

I think that's the only thing one can insinuate if someone is worried about something being "worth it"

At the price that is being paid for these fancy boots we all love, I'd like to see more lasts being used... instead of one toe shape across 9 boots, maybe throw in 2-3 shapes to keep things interesting.

It's a small label, and he clearly had one preferred silhouette in mind for the season. Last season's shoes had a totally different shape. I dunno, I think it's OK. Many labels don't manage to put out shoes at all.

Well, if he's going to do a shape, he picked a good one. However, options > no options.

the shape and overall aesthetic of his boots are good. but, there's something too "dressy" about his sole. i think if he was to distress it a little more, it would compliment well.
