    i think a member bought these, posted them on recent purchases II and the boots received good reviews, i like them but it really is a crap shoot w/MMM

    The MMM's are nice. I have the red/orange - I don't love that bland brown color, though. They're solid, and I like the feel of the leather (on my pair). They're very "western," though, just to warn you.

    I had the 988, 696 & 698 at one point but didn't really wear them. I really don't wear anything but my Cdiem back zips, lol. Note to self: need to stop buying boots.

    With that being said, I ordered some tornado zips in sbuc-ptc last week.

    Went with the SBUC. They should arrive in a July hopefully, I didn't really have special order them, just placed a deposit for my size in his size run he is receiving.

    Hey sinnedk,

    Just wanted to get your thoughts on the differences between those and this pair LVR is selling. The one at LVR looks like almost exactly the same (in horse leather instead of reverse calf that is), but the toe seems slimmer. Oh, and no stitching along the heel it seems:

    I like a slim toe so I was thinking of waiting til they go on sale (if they ever do).

    it's a flatter toe box at LVR. & I have reverse calf back zip too.

    what eck said and the LVR model has a thinner shaft but 2k and lvr stuff doesn't go on sale at least not a1923
