my thoughts as well (except wish it was 43 haha)
here is a 43
i dont know how yjp works but these look good
not black though though you've gotten a lot of yours dyed, right?
Me? I dyed one pair black. I probably won't do it again.
The 7 holes don't fit my my feet right for some reason- I'm having my instep stretched for the 2nd time right now- if that doesn't work you guys may be seeing some sz41 7 holes in the classifieds really soon
insole dont work?
That will make it worse- the instep is to low for me, especially on my right foot. An insole will just press my foot up more.
why wouldn't you dye again?
^^ I have the same problem with a lot of boots. I've finally gotten my julius boots to the point where they're comfortable in the instep with room for a thin insole (which I need for metatarsal support if I'm gonna be on my feet for a long time or walk a few miles).
hendrix can probably give a better explanation but I think it stiffens and dries out the leather. I don't think it's the dye but whatever they apply to the boots before the dye. I'm even wondering if dying shrinks the leather a little?
oh man that sucks, you may have to let go of 1 pair.
BTW Eck let see your collection pic, i know there is at least 4 cd and 1 Augusta there
i read that if the dyeing process is not done right the shoe can loose shape maybe not necessarily shrink although i think that can happen too, because CCP learned that by doing "object" dye work and the sizing was off on his footwear a few years ago
The problem with the Carpes (lace ups) is the wear the tongue is attached; the stitching and the 2 pieces of leather laying one another specifically. Just kills my feet. I'm better off with the Backzips or Sidezips.
SinnedK- I'll post a pic later- some of my boots are in Cali getting new rubber.
This is the problem area for people with a higher than normal instep with Carpes
These are my favorite pair I own
eck, did you dye the second ones? what leathers are those backzips?
btw, can you wear the problem boots w/out laces, maybe like the elastic augusta, i know sounds silly but may be solution
