    Nobody's talking about the leather quality or dying, we are talking about the methods of assembly. That was made painfully clear already. I am asking for clarification, not saying anyone is right or wrong.

    Moo the link you posted had at a dozen or less anecdotes about F+B

    I thought you were trying to promote NDC or something.
    And majority of those posters on that particular SZ thread sound really dumb.

    Quality of leather aside, if you do not know when to take your footwear to be resoled and keep wearing it down to the ground expecting $$$ = lifetime wear, perhaps you should just go barefoot.

    * * *

    I'm going to stick with my point that we all own enough footwear to rotate enough between and hopefully have the awareness to know when maintenance is needed to prolong the health and longevity of said footwear

    Tranny, methods of assembly are probably similar. But unless shoes are glued (i.e. total shit) they are going to be made similarly (save for things like hand lasting, etc. that come with Augusta and some upper tier MC shoes). After one or two years, while your sole might be OK on a shoes like F+B vs. Guidi, the leather on the F+B might be much worse for wear. Both shoes should be resolable, however.

    are you serious, that is plain retarted, when you make a shoe the dye process comes into play and i said right away the "whole" process... its part of making a shoe, try telling simone cecchetto, marizio amadei and marizio altieri that dying the leather is not part of the process. cmon now...

    jet's Vass look like someone did one of those paper hand puzzle things where you choose a color, then choose a name, then choose something else, without knowing what the outcome will be like. :lol:

    We were talking about shoes before you threw a hissy fit because someone asked you explain your position ... of course the dye and the leather itself is LITERALLY part of the process of making a shoe, but nobody was talking about that -- using semantics to get away from explaining your position is lame, man.
