Backlash is well known for its incredible quality jackets -- I don't know about their shoes, but they seem nice. This pair might still be available some places, and if not, likely something similar will come in the next season.

Forgot to mention - I'm getting those stretched by a cobbler right now. They're a little snug in the instep and the outside of the toebox if I want to use an insole (which I do). They should be done in about a week.

I wouldn't say the leather on my MMMs is any nicer, just more interesting with the burnishing effect. My Julius boots definitely have better leather, but the reverse calf makes them more of a standout piece.

I went down to H Lorenzo today. Tried on some Guidi boots. Was pretty blown away by a couple of pairs.

First one being the 703T which is a kangaroo derby. Very nice looking, feeling, and extremely comfortable.

The second was a pair of 312T reverse stag lace up boots that felt like butter on my feet.

I was really amazed at the quality and how they felt and looked on.

I'll post a couple of pics in a bit.

Tranny and Breezy - the leather is different. Guidi is a world renowned tannery and that's where their leather comes from. Where does F+B get their leather? That's one rather large difference.

I would also read through this thread for other people's opinions on F+B: http://stylezeitgeist.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3843

If you think that the actual quality/thickness/durability of the leather doesn't play a SIGNIFICANT role in how your shoes wear/last/age, you need to check yourself.

why so butthurt? the truth hurts, i suppose...

i was more just referring to his posting in general, rather than this particular f+b vs guidi debate. obvious 500 dollar boots won't be as nice as 1000+ boots... i think f&b boots are kind of crap for their retail price tbh. doesn't stop sinnedk from being slightly less annoying than xhale, though

Breezy do you own a pair of nice boots? I think you need to revisit this thread when your vagina has healed.

umm i'm pretty sure i have at least five or six pairs of shoes/boots that meet the "min" price range of this thread...but i'm not going to bother furthering the butthurtness despite the ill-assumed authoritativeness some posters think they seem to have on stuff. sorry you're such a loser douchebag, moo <3
