TOG: Great boots your brother has! I think I may hold out for the "Slimjim"
Those are nice. What are they?
Those Backlash boots look very nice, some close up shots here:
I like how they are so black overall, really matches their dark biker look.
Incarnation boots seem hard to pull off but I think they would really suit the ladies.
100% sure f&b is not made like this
whatever backlash is, it looks well made, but sold out right? where to kop if not?
folks F+B belongs here: http://www.styleforum.net/t/87638/the-streetwear-shoes-and-boots-thread-no-sneakers-please,
i stand by what i said, f+b elk boot felt flimsy when i tried it on,
Then you'd be 100% wrong. 1:30 onwards - welt is gemmed and machine stitched onto the shoe, outsole is machine stitched onto welt.
Same as most factory made shoes over $200.
Doesn't mean that they're not nice looking shoes, just don't go parading construction as a justification of buying something else, because they are likely no more robust than F+B, barring the nicer leather.
Ugh gemming talk is the worst
How many people have had to throw out a shoe from it being gemmed during construction?????
No one even mentioned gemming until that cowboy boot maker talked about it in MC and went on and on and on and on about it.
F+B is pretty average IMO, sure it's got a Blake sole (the ones I saw did) but honesty the leather / lining / finish was cheaper then MMO which are mostly all glued.
Not saying gemmed shoes should be thrown out, just making the point that there's not really much construction difference so it shouldn't be used as justification.
Reality is Guidi uses far better leather and, well, just look nicer 95% of the time - a valid reason to buy over F+B. I'm not criticising them.
F+B mainly uses blake/rapid from what i've seen. just as good as goodyear as far as machine-constructed shoes go.
Hendrix- you will probably appreciate the new m_moria stuff more than most people will. Construction/materials are suppose to be amazing.
Here are some "old" Augusta pics
can anyone can tell me more about my boots ? i dont know anything about 123&124
721LTD flashback to when they were brand new... How they look a year and half later. What a difference. Given what they've been through they aged well.
old augustas better than new ones, dislike the new quarter stitching style on vamp they've been doing in recent years
