i was under the impression he tucked the jeans in so that we could get a full view of the boots

that jacket looks a lot like mine. ss 2011? cut a bit longish and boxy. wish i had bought the ss2010 riders instead but, you know, things sell out fast

I see people wear those Guidis like this all the time and it just looks awkward, if you want to tuck into a zip boot IMO it needs to be much higher and wider in the shaft than this. The thing is by not tucking you don't get the visual interest of these at all (the wrinkling), so I kinda don't even understand these shoes at all.

Re: sinnedk's collection, the Augustas are lovely and I'm sure the quality is insane, just my personal preference aesthetically obviously.

ive found for it to work better, is to have pants with light fabric stack on them, because its important to the style for you to stack them so the creases are apparent when you have the weight of the pants on the boots.

that said i think those boots dont work well with leathers on top all the time, in this fit it looks fine, but for more bulky and heavier leathers you become more top heavy looking, its why i usually wear drapey shit or blazers/loose jackets on the top.

i think the fit looks fine though, and this is a really nitpicky thing, imo. Those boots are still my most coveted, wish I had a bigger heel on mine ;(

they are Moo, and even if they arent available at the time most retailers such as atelier and pnp can order them fro you and it will take 4 -6 weeks, the 988 backzip is very popular and its not like guidi really has season changes in their lines, they add but the main things like 995 and 988 are always around

pardon my ignorance, but what is the appeal of reverse leather? i owuld prefer the leather side to the suede side, but i want to hear your opinions

I'm guessing personal preference, I really like waxed suede/nubuck.

lane, the toebox evens out after about 3 wears, my augusta was a bit like that...

appeal of reverse leather... well there are quiet a few reasons. for instance, the creasing is different and looks better on reverse leather imo, also reverse leather can be beat up a bit more and has a rugged look, you can spray reverse leather down w/protector and then the shoe is impenetrable to water and becomes great for rain conditions.

EDIT: reverse leather is especially awesome when oiled down
