I had the jacket in that material! You did a great job, at first glance I assumed it was just a different cut made by them.

My first briefcase story.
One of my colleagues asked me to make a bag for him. I have made a couple bags before and think that it would be not so difficult. But when we discuss the design of the bag i understand that he wants not a bag it is already a satchel or briefcase!
So i started. There are some photos of the process

After cutting i aged leather with a carnauba wax with a drill. You can see the difference. I really like this effect.

That was not easy. I always afraid to make a mistake, when i made this bag.
And when i finished i said to my wife - I will never make portfolios again!!!
That was in a middle of 2018.

Follow up to my first attempt to make boots...

Here is my second attempt. Very happy with how these turned out!
  • Brown Horween horsebutt chromexel
  • Japanese roller buckles
  • Unstructured toes
  • Neoprene half sole and Catspaw heels

These are incredible work. Did you make your own last? How long have you done other leatherwork for before attempting these?

Thanks for the compliment. No, I bought the last. Not sure I'm brave enough to try to carve my own last. And do you really want to know this was my second leatherwork project? The first was ver1 of engineer boots. LOL!

Yes! That's very heartening for someone that would like to give it a try someday

new to this particular thread on SF, wanted to share my latest wallet (and matching keychain) build. Got about 12 years of tinkering with leather as a hobby under my belt. Hope you all enjoy the pictures! Looking forward to seeing more of your work as well~
