@flowcharts Are all of those patches sewn on top of the old fabric? Or are they separate pieces attached only to each other?

@Spehsmonkey the majority are sewn onto the original denim. I did end up having to create some extra fabric for a seam allowance where the original denim meets the patchwork on the front, so that bottom section is mostly 1 layer. There are also a few spots that are 3-4 layers thick that I'm trying to figure out how to best distress/showcase in more of a traditional boro style.

I have a pair of Birkenstock Maines that I’ve resoled three times in the last 2 years. I’m thinking of attempting to go with a heavier sole. Vibram ripple sole, Kletterlift? Will I be able to glue these down and trim the excess?

Cola you do some pretty clean work, it’s not really my style but good job. Maybe look up some old Dries/Missoni for inspiration. Dries usually seems to have a bit more freedom with womenswear but he did a recent collab with Cabana magazine haven’t checked it out but wouldn’t be surprised if it was good.
