Haven't tried this myself, but:
Dude was using fjallraven wax in the video, I saw a video of a chick from fjallraven waxing one of their jackets a while back
Is there a brand of tees that's better for printing?
Land's End suede bucks. Sand with red sole. Dyed them with Rit Denim Blue. Still drying. The nap isn't buttery soft anymore but I thrifted them for 5 bucks so it's not much of a loss.
My next project is dyeing a pair of brown Bally side zip boots black. The zipper is painted brown. Anyone know the safest way to strip the paint off the zipper?
Interesting. Would like to see some pics after a month (and some wears) or so.
Anyone pull the back zipper pocket off their Rastros? Admittedly not much of a project- I don't see a structural reason not to (all aesthetic arguments aside) and it looks like a seam ripper will do it.
Are you also looking at those patent Rafstros up on Superfuture with the broken zip? Was wondering myself if that zip could be replaced
nah but I picked up a pair here. I'll probably give it a go this weekend and post the after pics.
I've wanted to see that for a while. I wouldn't do it to my green ones but I thought about buying the white/red/ORANGE pair from SuFu to try it on
You've inspired me. I'm dying these right now...
the idea was to give these wingtips new life. I was thinking blue with a subtle tinge of green.
post acetone rub and taped. In hindsight I should had bought painters tape. I did the brogue details in the dark blue.
this is the current state of things. The shoe paint is thick and i used quite a bit of reducer. I will prob strip w/ acetone then go over it again anyway.
one coat of polish. not sure if i should throw good after bad. it wasn't quite what i was going for but in certain settings this could be cool.
Got some cheap end on end shirts from Jcrew. Want to bleach them for some Geller like steeze. Is the bleached area going to turn yellow or white? Suggestion on using the bleach is self (water-to-bleach ratio), or is this going to weaken the shirt and destory it? Or perhaps other colour removing product?
Have you seen the guides in my sig?
