earlier this evening, I was studying in a SBUX when a chick next to me complimented me on the boots. In response, I told her "thank you". 5 mins later, as she is leaving, she gives me her cell number written on a cardboard cup sleeve. "i like your boots"

I get complimented on my alden cordo shoes/boots regularly. I'd say its 70/30 men women though.

In other news, i got the Jcrew captoe boots today. when i get home i'll inspect them to make sure there are no defects. if anyone is interested in them shoot me a pm, because otherwise I'm just going to return them tomorrow morning. this was an unexpected charge and I want the refund asap. size 8.5 D

Are you offering a substantial discount or something? Not sure why someone wouldn't just pick up the phone and order them or buy online if they wanted a new pair of J Crew Alden boots

yup i got this pair at a slight discount because jcrew kept messing up my order (the story is somewhere in this thread). It ends up being a decent discount for anyone who would have to pay taxes and shipping on these boots. also, the size is sold out on the website and since they aren't back ordering anymore, it might be that after this run, the style will be discontinued. i could be wrong about that though.
