Can Jason or someone else who has seen these in person comment? Are there differences in the characteristics of the leather in these models, or is it down to the resolution or lighting in the pictures?

Thanks!

Call Steven at Leffot and ask him - you won't find a nicer guy and he'll be more than willing to discuss his shoes.

We get so many emails asking about the sizing between C&J and Alden but honestly I have no idea how C&J fits.

the color variation you see isnt textured. in other words... the change in color makes it look like those parts of the surface are raised but its actually flat. my indys have that and it doesnt always show up in pictures. ill post a pic after work.

horsehide's right. Also, the lighting and pictures are often deceptive. I got a pr of Chromexcel boots from Shoemart that were much darker than anything I saw before ordering, so who knows?

Great pickup! Thanks for the pics.

You cannot look from above. Take some pictures from at least a few feet away. If you do not like them then see about PTB's on plaza last.

They look like cigar on the pictures... But that double leather sole will be the option I go for when the time to recraft mine comes... Love my LS crepes so far though...

That double sole looks pretty impressive. That is a serious, adult-looking shoe. I like it.

went on a terror recently and picked up a couple of little tank like Aldens and this pair. I've never really felt all that crazy about cordovan, but these may change my mind. Forgive my poor photo skills.

Nice shoes Mac!

Once again evidence that Color 8 looks great with a Light Antique edge. That also looks like an extended edge if I'm not mistaken
