1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

Long Story short, got three pairs all with issues.... I got the 3 pairs originally with 30% when they were offering... called up and said I would return to store.. Jcrew has a 7 day price match guarantee. Called back up when it went to 25%, they honored d my original price plus 25% off, and next day shipping, plus a quality inspection will be done to insure no issue.... I think someone said it a few pages back, you have to be patient will Aldens... I will say this it is a lot better to buy from a Big company like Jcrew for Aldens simply for the fact you can get good discounts if you work the system.....

That is my story for tonight.

Someone asked about the reverse tobacco. These are the Summer Oxford from Blackbird and I get quite a few compliments on them. Thought I would put them on for a solo dinner out of oysters and beer

I wonder why Alden hasn't made anything in natural shell. The only shoes I've seen in natural shell have been from Chausser (Japan).

I have some extremely lightly used 10D plaza last jgilbert short wing bluchers in brown calf if anyone is interested. Price would be ~190 for a quick sale.

Am I sensing the beginnings of an SF natural shell makeup? :smarmy:

I wonder how it would look as a saddle, paired with another shell color.

Those are beautiful boots. The #8 shows well in that photo. Be sure to post more photos as you wear them. It's clear that they are going to age nicely.

The J.Crew "roughed-out" suede - does anyone know what the roughed-out means? It looks like normal suede on the site...

All I have to say is, if Unionmade SF still has your size in stock of the Loden Green Indy Boots, get them.

    That is all.

Nice score. And yes, you do have to be patient with Alden. I've yet to see a truly perfect pair from them...I've just learned to live with the small flaws.
