Those plain-toe loafers are nice. I have never seen them before.

Some fantastic new saddles from Unionmade. Alden is saying that's black alpine, but it sure looks like navy to me

I do not think there is such a thing as black in natural dyes, though I may be wrong. I think what we call black is just very, very fdark blue. I like those but it would be hard to pair them for me.

I do like them every time I see them though. [IMG]

    Ahab,

Actually, black is the most abundant natural dye. (carbon black)

Is the brown chromexcel Pitt boot the same as the Context Roy boot except for the sole? I know they are Barrie vs. Trubalance, but any other differences?

I would say yes, and it's a mighty fine make up as well. i actually much prefer it to the roy the more I look at it.

Finally, someone doing a chromexcel plain toe boot without the dreaded crepe sole. Looks very nice!
I actually like the crepe sole on the Roy boots. It's a combination that works for me.

Def gives the boot a totally different look. If only it was available in Cigar shell. That would be...
holy $hit, cigar shell pitt boots at LS. http://www.leathersoulhawaii.com/?s=cigar
... my grail boot. I PM'ed Tom the moment I saw his pic a few pages back. In-store only (aargh) so unless I get lucky it looks like my wait will continue. EDIT: if anyone's there and gets an 11.5D, consider it a risk free purchase as I will gladly take them off your hands.

Have there ever been natural chromexcel indy boots with commando soles? Or rubber soles at all? Or do you have to go for the ordinary natural chromexcel ones and change soles?

For anyone interested, I'm selling a pair of 9D tan calf wingtips on the Arch Street last.

Arch Street Last is a new one for me - I guess it's kind of "fitting" that Sui Generis would have a last that no one else has, eh? (my puns have puns in that sentence [IMG] )
