There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

It's their flagship mens store in the meat packing district (or somewhere else trendy in NY).

Ahh. Does this mean the boot will only be available there and not online? Thus someone like me in Canada would need a proxy?

Be careful, the thicker sole you pictured will take away from the look you are going for. The heel you showed will be thicker than the existing heel. They can cut down your base to balance it but, you will loose some of the stacked look.
The thinner sole that you mentioned can't be stitched on because the lugs go to the edge. I could be wrong but let us know.

Can anyone comment on how the Aberdeen last fits in comparison to the Barrie last? I've read that the Aberdeen is a bit longer and elongated, but I'm not 100% sure on whether or not to size down like the Barrie.

    I wear
    9.5E or 10D in Barrie

    I wear 10E or 10.5D in Aberdeen

    So half size up.

That's what I thought -- thanks! I'm expecting the Aberdeen's to fit a little bit more narrower than my Barrie's a half size down, but I don't think I have enormous feet, so here's to hoping that they'll fit. Have to win the auction first, of course.

I would go .5 up and one size wider from Barrie to Aberdeen.

Has anyone tried the same size Barrie last in different widths? I normally wear a 10D Barrie. There is a pair of chukkas I am thinking of purchasing that are 10C. Would I need to go to 10.5C to fit the same as 10D? Thanks.

It gets cemented and nailed on. The holes around the circumference are to accept the nails.
The heel is the thickness of a half heel meaning it is thicker than the original top-lift. In order to balance the shoe correctly you would have to lower the existing leather base to offset the difference of the thicker heel. When finished the profile of the heel will show more rubber and less leather.

I have a wide foot. I can get into the Barrie at a 10D, but it is quite tight on my left foot. In a 11.5, the Aberdeen fits nicely. So the calls that it is a "narrow" last I've found to be...unfounded. I can fit into most 10.5D shoes. The Aberdeen hugs the waist nicely, and has a smaller heel than the Barrie, which is the way most feet are. Barrie, imo, is weird.

Combo is a big win. Winn Perry had a good eye for special makeups. Too bad they're gone.

Wait... wait... you mean a 10.5, right? Just want to make sure that it was a typo before making my bid.

If these fit similarly to a half size down on the Barrie last, than the shoes I'm looking at will be exactly what I'm looking for.

    Thanks.

Color #8. It's not a perfect match and that's fine with me.

Aberdeen is a very weird last. I wear an 8D in barrie and was able to comfortably wear both an 8.5D and 9D in the aberdeen...I have weird fucking feet though.
