^ I went on personal experience and a few other reports on lasts I don't own. Obviously, it's just a basic guide in terms of sizing. I'm more than happy to make changes/additions and repost it if there are glaring errors.

I've also been trying to get rid of a NIB pair of dark brown longwings in 10.5D over on B&S for anyone who's interested.

Wore these yesterday when it was actually sunny in Seattle....today not so much.

JCrew #8 captoes for their first outing. (sorry about the crappy pics)

Those looks very burgundy for a first time wearing! Mines are probably at least 5 shades darker than that. [IMG]

Thank you, sir. I learn from the best.

They are tan vegano calf with brown alpine grain calf. Leydon last. My first Leydons, so I wasn't sure how the fit would be, but I like the fit even better than the Barrie. Light and comfortable for the spring.

in regard to your barrie last did you increase your size in the leydon last

I did. I'm a 8.5D on the Barrie and a 9D on the Leydon. I think the Leydon is a better fit for me in the toe box, but each fits fairly well. I assume you have some of each, yes?

    Hello guys,

I am thinking of getting an Alden Suede Plain Toe Blucher on the Barrie last. However, I am not quite sure what size would be appropriate.

FWIW, I am a UK8 on the C&J 337 and 348 last and the same on Carmina's Inca last. Any suggestions or recommendation?

I would say Abderdeen runs borderline large. It should be in the middle of the chart.

Jet should edit the first post to include this chart.

    Wow, photo is super helpful.

From my experience with it, the Aberdeen runs a little bit long but pretty narrow. I've had my best results going TTS on it.

For me, the tightest last that I've tried so far has been the Plaza.

I agree with this assessment - narrow but just a touch long. Not long enough that I would ever recommend a rule of thumb on sizing down a la Barrie/Trubalance/Modified.

Yeah, since it is narrow, I wouldn't recommend sizing down on it, unless you consider going up a width.

I wear either 10D or 9.5E in Barrie/Truebalance. I went to 10E on my ravello longwings on aberdeen. They fit fine.
