1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Another sizing question - if I wear a 12C in the Trubalance (I have a pair of brown chrome excel Indys), is there any way I could fit comfortably into a 12D boot in the Barrie last? From what I've read, the Trubalance is the widest last. The Barrie is wide as well, but might be slightly narrower than Trubalance. There's a pair of 12D Ravello wingtip boots I really want, but I'm afraid the D width might be just a little too big. I wouldn't even mind wearing thicker socks with these, but I definitely don't want my foot sliding around when I walk.

sounds like theyll fit length wise but will more than likely be too wide. However its nothing a thick sock cant remedy

I think it's alright...when the methodology of tanning shell cordovan for footwear purposes was developed in the early 20th century, the focus was on work boots.
In other words, the modern shell cordovan as we know it started life as upper & sole leathers for boots that were meant to be beaten up.
Anyway, Viberg's actual hiker boots are around the $700 mark :p

I got a pair of awesome waterproof Solomon hiking boots for about $150. I've used them about 3-4 times a year over the past few years for strenuous hiking and they've held up really well. I would definitely suggest this route rather than wearing shell boots.

Nifty pics, thanks! You ride a Norton?

And the captoes are definitely on my list. The plain toe Indys, as well. I'm afraid the shifter will destroy the stitching on the trad Indy.

Beautiful boot - FYI you need to update the text (title is ok) on your website (the description still refers to Ravello)

Thanks, the Indy toe stitching is cosmetic only so it won't hurt the boot if you break a couple stitches. I asked about that when I had regular Indys.

Does anyone know where I might be able to find captoe dress shoes (blucher or bal) on the Barrie last? I know LeatherSoul had one or two custom makeups but I think they're sold out. Looking for an 8.5D or 9D. Thanks in advance.
