1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

go to theshoemart.com, click Alden. then order the shoes by lowest to highest price. you'll see the 2nds discounted in red ink. it easier to browse when it set to 'view 96' as opposed to just 16

Anyone else waiting for Epaulet's Ravello Brixton boot to come in on order? Website estimated a delivery time of July-September 2011. With this colder weather coming on, I hope they are in the works!

Does anyone have the Alden 1273s chukka? If so, thoughts on this model with rubber lug sole vs the Alden suede Chukkas with leather soles? Any pics? How do these look with jeans or chinos? Thanks!

Interesting. Both of these experiences are the opposite of mine. I went 10 in shell (Barrie last) and 9.5 in oiled nubuck (Trubalance last).

these look like ones that Blackbird had. I think they're on the Trubalance last. I have a similar pair from Unionmade in brown bison leather and love them. Very lightweight and comfortable!

go for it! I have many times.
shell is probably the most durable boot leather there is. That said, I probably wouldn't do it with a pair that I wanted to never get scuffed up.

Just spoke to Mike a few days ago...there is not much ravello shell coming out of the tannery, but ours has come in about 10 days ago, and they're currently working on our boots...I believe he expects them sometime before Christmas.

Me too, november was the end of the window, so don't be surprised with the backlog pushes them closer towards springtime.

BBBF Black Shell LWB. Any can comment on what last these might be? I have them in a 9.5 when most of my Barries are 9. The left shoe fits perfectly, the right is big, much more noticeable on my feet with this last than any other I wear.

was considering a whiskey nst..but then found the indy in stock in my size. I don't really want another boot, but I feel like I may never get another shot at a whiskey indy

    so....whisky indy or nst? :)
