1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

ps: im an 8.5D barrie/trubalance and took the same size for these in grant. can def tell these are slimmer and tighter but not uncomfortable and not enough to size up. i am sure it will stretch just slightly enough to not be tight

As i continue my search for a unique pair of Indy's - wondering if anyone has come across a dealer that has created the Indy on the Barrie last. While definitly still a work boot the barrie last might let me get away with wearing them around the office on a friday.... thanks in advance!

just purchased a pair burgundy cordovan captoe boots.

Waiting for it to be shipped over :)

And since this is my first cordovan pair of boots, need some advice on what i should do/buy to keep them lasting through out the years.

I actually intend to buy some saphir cream for cordovan, but the only stockist i manage to find is http://www.hangerproject.com/shoe-care/saphir-mdo.html
and they charge a crazy amount, $100ish for international shipping for a small bottle.

Besides the cream, I'm also planning to buy a horsehairbrush.
And i believe the boots that im getting are using leather soles, so its advisable for me to go visit a cobbler to put on some rubber vibram soles immediately before i wear them right?

On a seperate note, i also need some help on how to maintain my Suede pair of shoes, its a off-white suede, with abit of discolorization , how do i restore it to its former glory? which of saphir other products should i be getting for my suede pair of shoes?
I would need help finding some saphir stockist, i have tried http://www.onthefly.com/product/saphir/pommadier-cream-shoe-polish/30251 , torquato, franco's .. all of them dont stock the cordovan cream.

    Lookin' good rkd. :fonz:

I love how your dog was inexplicably drawn to bask in the Ravello radiance. Or maybe its eyeing the boots up for itself. Keep your eye on that one.

Anyway, good luck with the voyage and watch out for icebergs...and urinals.

To the person (or persons) that grabbed the size 9 Ravello PTBs that Leffot recently made up with commando soles - if they aren't working for you I may know a guy...

yeah he LOVES to be in my pics, or he's super jealous that im giving attention to something other than him

ill take a pic of my barries side by side for a comparison but it feels the same to me, just slimmer in the toe box. ive been wearing these at the office for a few hours and they already feel very comfy, so the whole "tight"/"slim" worries are now alleviated

haha i wish it were so ... im going to be broke the next month or so. buy my FS stuff please!!!

I just made my first Alden purchase. I purchased the #8 Captoe Boot on the Barrie last in a size 8.5. I went with the same size I wear in the Wolverine 1000 mile boot.I am slightly nervous about how they will fit, but, hopefully they will work out.

I think you'll be fine with the size. I'd congratulate you on your first purchase but that'd be like congratulating Pookie from New Jack City on his first crack pipe.

I wear 8.5 D in Alden barrie last but 8D in Wolverine 1000 mile boot fits perfect for my feet anyways.
