Am I the only one who thinks that a shell belt would look bizarre? Like your waist had some bizarrely shiny lining to it. Also is it really as flexible as the kind of soft calf used for a dress belt?

my BB shell belt isn't quote as shiny as my shell shoes for whatever reason. also I don't think I would ever polish it...just condition it I think.

Need some help please. I'm looking for a chocolate brown suede oxford just like this one
    http://www.alden-of-carmel.com/index...Oxford_270.htm
I checked with Blackbird and this is a shoe from last summer. Has anyone seen this shoe ( or one very similar) in any of the Alden stores you've been in? Really want the dark brown suede. I've found a couple of places that have, or will have this exact style in tan.
    Thanks

Sherman Brothers just got in both snuff and brown suede.

Cigar cap toes? On the Aberdeen last? From where?

IIRC, Sherman Brothers had a run of these.

    Chromexcel Tuesday

    Notes:

The "Clipper Oxford" has been in the Alden catalog for nearly 100 years and is one of their best selling patterns to this day.

Crafted from Brown Chromexcel leather from Chicago's Horween Leather Co.

360 degree reverse welt, painted brown brass eyelets, full leather linings, natural cork insole, full heel counters and steel shank through the arch for long lasting comfort and support.

    Very versitile.

Commando sole (Leffots recently had a similar shoe with blind eyelets & a crepe sole)

    Currently, my favorite shoe.

Where does the Truflare last fall on this chart?

I would say between Grant and Barrie. I had to size down 1/2 size
