For perspective, MaCarthur's 46 pairs of shoes if average price is $500/each is equivalent to just 1 Rose Gold Rolex Daytona Watch, which if anyone of you hang out on the WIS forums, it's common for some of those guys to have several high end watches. So the shoe hobby is by far more "grounded", pun intended.

And if you go to 6speedonline, there are members with crazy exotic cars and even crazier garages to house them.

Do these look a little small to anyone else? The laces look really far spread. Is that normal? My PTBs are tied quite a bit tighter but they're not touching or anything.

Hot dog,

They look fine. The spread of the laces has to do with the height of the person's instep - sometimes if they go to a wider width, the toes are swimming in the front of the shoe.

I think J. Crew listened to the people. Some of their Aldens are available in smaller sizes now. It was absurd that the smallest size offere was a 8.5 in Barrie/TruBalance.

Sucks that most of their selections are craptastic.

Yup. Plus they're quite new -- I suppose they might want to be pulled tighter as they break in. But to me they look & feel perfect.

More than they would have cost in January, and less than they'll cost in a few years.

Why do this? Just answer him. We're talking about expensive shoes here so everyone knows you spent a lot, you sound like a corny old dad

Thanks
