Taking a break from reading post:

How many here actually uses a shoe horn to put on their shoes?

I got one of these a couple years ago http://www.brooksbrothers.com/IWCatP...=&sectionsize=
But to be honest I probably only use it 20% of the time.

Beautiful shoes! What sole, last and edge trim on these?

Double leather sole, Barrie last, natural edge trim (I think)

I picked up one of those with a fraternity discount card in 07 and I use it almost every day.

I thought about picking up a shoe horn today, but didn't because I don't think I would use it. Speaking of Brooks, in addition to visitng LSBH, I crossed the street to go to the Brooks store. I wanted to try on the extra slim fit shirt. They gave me a test shirt to try on with unfinished sleeves. The salesman then measured my arms and said they're 36'' and they don't have 14.5'' and 36''. I know for a fact that I'm 14.5'' and 33" so I had no idea how he pull that Mens Warehouse measurement out. Not Alden related, sorry for the rant. [IMG]

What are people's opinions on which is better? Ravello, Whiskey or Cigar (for long wings) if I already have Color 8s?

I can't decide what my next pair should be! [IMG]

    Ravello

Who has Ravello LWB in stock? Alden of Carmel has it but only with crepe sole.

They were stock. I think it is the way the flash hit them as they both look almost identical in person.
They definitely look like they are from the same tannery and piece of hide.

Sorry, I did not mean between your two shoes, I meant between your pair and mine.

Great question... I didn't look at that before I answered. I was just giving the color opinion. They do seem a bit scarce right now.

Thanks. I'm in Calif. and would sorta prefer to save on sales tax though.

    I may call DC...

    J. Gilbert appears to be enamored with the Plaza last and commando soles. I'd like to see them make some boots on the aberdeen last and with a double leather sole.
