1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

I have a new pair of 1947 LVC 501s. Should I worry about bleeding into a whiskey shell shoe if I wear them together?

No. I wear brand new denim that crocks (bleeds) and whiskey chukkas all the time. Indigo has never gotten into the shell.
For that matter I've also been wearing snuff suede Indies with said denim, and haven't seen any noticeable marking with them either.
    Go ahead and rock 'em!

Don't you soak first? Blue rubbing off on the sofa will incur the wife's wrath.

That's a good shot - nioce arch work.

    Looks like BB cotton argyles.

    Modified (has a high arch)

Shoes: Alden Burgundy Calf Cap Toe (although they look more like brown than burgundy)

Pants: Shipley & Halmos Navy Seersucker

That's a good shot - nioce arch work.

    Looks like BB cotton argyles.

Thanks! Good call on the argyles.

Thought so. I have a very high arch as well. That's a good looking pair of modified last shoes.

Thank you, sir. I think it's my favorite last because of the high arch.

Some very nice Cigar Cordovan Perforated Straight Tips just went up on the Tassel's Site:

I do not need more shoes, I do not need more shoes....

I like those a lot. How much is Tassel's asking for them?

Does anyone know where I could order laces like the ones on these snuff suede Indy boots from LS?
I am looking for different colours. I believe these are waxed, right?
    Thanks.

The laces that came with my snuffs are the same as those which come with just about every other pair of Aldens.

Actually my 403's came with a non waxed lace and they are brown, I am looking for waxed laces in that sort of grey/blue colour.
