1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

I used the flash because the lighting is poor but they are just the way you describe, with a bit of red as well. The color is really deep.

Hot dog, they look great. I wear them more than any other Aldens I have.

your saddle with argyles are outstanding description of saddles
Thank you, sir. I learn from the best. They are tan vegano calf with brown alpine grain calf. Leydon last. My first Leydons, so I wasn't sure how the fit would be, but I like the fit even better than the Barrie. Light and comfortable for the spring.

What beauties! Alden seems to have improved the hue of cigar shell cordovan --- those don't look green/olive at all, but rather deep and rich dark brown. Like a rich, dark roux (that's gumbo roux for all you non-cooks).

    or a shrimp etouffee.. mmmm

That chart originated here by member REguy. It's pretty accurate.

^ I went on personal experience and a few other reports on lasts I don't own. Obviously, it's just a basic guide in terms of sizing. I'm more than happy to make changes/additions and repost it if there are glaring errors.

I've also been trying to get rid of a NIB pair of dark brown longwings in 10.5D over on B&S for anyone who's interested.

Those looks very burgundy for a first time wearing! Mines are probably at least 5 shades darker than that. [IMG]
