New makeup @ Epaulet, Cxl LWB on Commando sole and brass eyelets, if you like CXL this can be an excellent all weather LWB , too bad I hate CXL wrinkles.

Does the chamois smell like cigarette smoke? I briefly had a pair that didn't fit well and I assumed the original owner was a smoker!

I can't place the smell, but the wife said camp fire so yes , maybe a little smokey

Wonderful... I guess you have summer-like weather all year long in San Diego. I suppose can forgive you for wearing these after labor day!

we're in a crazy heat wave, I was happy to sport white after labor day.

Interesting, looks like it has a 370 degree welt, but split into a 270 degree storm welt with a flat welt around the heel. I've never seen that before, anyone else?

My whiskey Indy (Madison), cigar straight tip (DC), and NAT CXL wingtip (TSM) boots are confirmed and should arrive within the next few months. That should be it for me.

amazing! i would note, that EITHER the CXL or the goodyear welt creates more 'room' on my pairs...

Hey folks,

I need some help. I want to grab a boot for the fall and I have it narrowed down to the Winn Perry CT Tan Vegano Calf or a standard Snuff Chukka. I want to be able to wear it in slightly damp weather like the fall can sometimes be in the Northeast, but I would switch to something more rugged once the salt is on the ground.

I know the usual advice would be to just buy both, but I unfortunately cannot do that right now. Also, does anyone know of any other plain toe or ct boots on commando that would fit the bill for my above requirements, but could also be worn in the slush if need be? I love the Winn Perry Boot, but I am hesitant bc of the Double Waterlock....

Any help appreciated!
