RE: Cordovan Break-In... when do they stop squeaking? I've worn my boots around the house for about 1.5 hours now (3 x 30min) to break in...but the squeaking persists!

Continuing with cleaning up my Alden collection. Leffot Naval boots - my first Alden purchase. Love them more now than the day I purchased them.

Do they squeak? I have a pair of Cordovan boots that I'm breaking in around the house.. and they're kind of squeaky

Thanks, gentlemen. First Plaza-lasted boot and I'm really pleased with how they fit (went TTS). Which is quite a relief, since I'm also on the pre-order for a Plaza wingtip boot.
The carpet is only 3x8 feet, btw, so it's not as crazy as it might seem. I think. :)

I've been fortunate enough to not have this happen to me, so have no good answer, I'm afraid.

This shoe is much overlooked I think because of its colour. BB Unlined Black Shell. I also wear the lined version.

Beautiful! Really curious. Can't wait to see these in person. Are these the shell Indies on grant?

Terribly underrated! Enjoy them my friend...

Outstanding! [IMG] Are they color 8 with incredible patina, cigar, or ravello? Whatever they are, they are amazing!

@JSO1 @sazon congrats on the Cigar Cap toe boots (AoM?). They look great. I just received mine from AoM. Indoor, i-phone pic isn't great, but they are awesome in person! Only my second pair of cigars. I don't wear my cigar LWB much so I also thought Cigar just wasn't for me. Boy was I wrong...

Thank you, sir! They're color 8 that have really mellowed. I love the rare color rainbow, but the way color 8 ages can't be beat.
