1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

I need to see crepe in person, but the pictures I see are not attractive to me at all.

I'm wearing crepe right now, and I think it's awesome. Seriously, it's comfortable, durable, great for walking long distances. Never quite understood all the hate for it, other than the fact that it's "different."

I don't like the way it looks. It is comfortable, though.

I am trying to acquire my first crepe soled boot right now. I hated it for a long time looks-wise but it's grown on me, and it fits this boot's aesthetic.

My winn perry little tanks are some of my most worn boots. The crepe is very comfortable to walk in and good in wet weather. I do think it looks best when there is little contrast between the upper material and soles like with with chamois or dark suede.

Love the look of the crepe sole. What I dislike the very least is the commando sole. Reminds me too much of a Timberland construction boot, especially the heel profile.

These are 11D from the Shoe Mart. Is it just me or does it look like the left boot was lasted wider than the right? It looks like the right boot was lasted on a C width rather than a D width. What do you guys think? The left is roomier and the right is perfect.

You mentioned that crepe soles are good for wet weather and that is the complete opposite of my experiences... Is higher quality crepe sole just better at being more water resistant?

Wow, same for me with all these items. Only within the last few months... I've seen a lot of good Instagram pics of the above that made me change my mind.
