Stupid sizing question, but I gotta ask anyway. I know the Grant is a tweener for most, but if I'm a 12B Barrie shoe, 12C Barrie boot (I like to size up since boots tend to fit narrower), 12B Trubalance (CXL Indy boot), and 12.5C unlined chukka on the Leydon, should I go with 12C for a shell boot on the Grant? This would be 1/2 size wider than a Trubalance boot for me, but 1/2 size shorter than the unlined chukkas. I tried the 1494 in 12C and it was too small. Or should I play it safe and try 12D? I do have a 12D Barrie boot that would be ideal in 12C, but because I can lace it tighter around my ankle, 12D is serviceable. This makes me think I should probably just do 12D on the Grant.

Thanks, guys. They are equally striking in person. In fact, I never thought I'd like an NST. That split toe stitching always seemed a bit "too much" for me. BUT, I happened to walk in to Unionmade's new LA store several weeks ago and these puppies just jumped off the shelf. I never knew natural CXL could look so good. Absolutely love the contrast with the dark laces. Asked for my size and, low and behold, it was one of the two pairs remaining from their "grand opening special make-ups." In other words, pure, unadulterated dumb-luck on my part. I have to guess all of this makes it very unlikely that one could easily find another pair of this make-up (at the moment, anyway), but who knows.
