1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

I agree with this - for that money I'm getting a pretty special boot. You can really get a a couple pairs of special boots for that money...

Color 4s look great but indistinguishable from some ravello pairs if you ask me. Rarity? Please. It's been discussed here several times that most of us don't know a single other person with a single pair of aldens. If that isn't rare enough for you, spend $2500 on a 1 of 1.

That being said, lots of people are paying $2500 or more for "rare" sneakers that can't even be resoled. And rare in those terms means only thousands produced. Ha.

Your new LWBs look terrific. Yeah, their colors match quite well.
;-) I have been slowly working on more posts about caring for shoes and edging. Hope to get a more detailed post with information up sooner than later.
Looking great in your Whiskeys! I have a pair of those socks as well from Alden DC. Pretty nice.
    Looking good Zippy!
I would contact the retailer who sold them to you. I have had similar issues fixed before.
Looking good in THE classic Alden. -Mike

Need some sizing advise please. I wear a US size 11E in the Allen Edmonds Strand model. In the Trubalance and Barrie last, size 10.5D fits well. What should my size be in the Grant, Hampton, Plaza and Aberdeen lasts? Thanks a lot.

My biggest concern whenever I get something from an overseas seller is import fees and duties.

On this note....has anyone purchased Viberg boots from overseas? I have been eyeing a pair and have emailed the retailer about potential import fees but have not received a response.

I couldn't agree more. I wear wool socks year round in Atlanta unless I a going sockless with loafers. I would love to try some cashmere socks, but can't bite the bullet on those.

Just bought these natty Cxl roughout service boots from Cultizm in Germany. They filled the paperwork out carefully. No fees involved. Even got a call from a Fed Ex staff person who had me clarify the nature of the shipment. I told her where the boots were made and she told me I was all set. Hope you get the 'bergs you're looking for!
