1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

I follow @MrDV's routine, a little Alden creme occasionally but primarily wiping and brushing.

Got my Ultimate Indys from Leather Soul yesterday. They are absolutely amazing! I love the soft CXL leather, dark welt and commando sole. I wore them around the house yesterday evening :D Very comfy right out of the box. My Indy Snuff Suede boots might have to move to the back of the line, LOL! The Trubalance last works well with my flat feet!

Does anyone pair dark grey dress/suit slacks with any shoes other than black? If so, what? Pic's would be great if you can.

Yes, I wear color 8, dark brown. It makes for a really great contrast. Try it you will love it.

While not suit pants - my grey pants get paired with Navy or #8 shoes all the time. I love the look, no photos though.

Edit: just found a pair of my GMTO Allen Edmonds Navy Eagle Rivers with Grey

All personal preference but don't like the look of black shoes. I have one pair of AE fifth aves when I must wear them. My go to with charcoal is color 8 and sometimes dark brown. Anybody else not have black shoes in their rotation?

I like black shoes that are clean and well polished. My favorite is the RL/EG Grant's in black. A bit more sleek than any Alden. I think black shoes get a bad rap on SF.

Yes - numerous pairs, shell and calf. For professional business dress, color 8 and black are business staples for many.

No black shoes for me, I think I am up to like 25 pairs too. The Walter boot was the first thing in black I have tried to purchase.

Same here. I have about 15 pairs, and none of them are black. I feel like there's always a color that will work better with an outfit than black.

I don't own a black pair either, but if I were to own one, it would probably be the J. Crew cadet cordovan bluchers. They've been sold out in my size for a while though. I'm only 8 pairs in with 2 more on pre-order though.
