There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

I actually returned mine from the DC run. They were damn near black. And this is from a guy that usually doesn't mind dark cigar shades .....

Mghart-You tipped us off and saw them. What's your conclusion on this run of Cigar. Light, Dark, Medium?

I don't have as much experience with these rare shell colors like a lot of you guys here, but I'd say from the boot I saw, it had a medium tone of cigar, and i could see some of those olive-like undertones I've heard gentlemen describe. Granted, it could have just that one boot, but hopefully we'll see some pics soon of people's boots!

Mine are scheduled for delivery on Friday, but don't show that they've been picked up by UPS yet, just that the label was created. AoM did tell me on the phone to expect them to be shipped tonight.

You best believe that pictures will be taken when they arrive.

In other news, snuff LWBs (9794) today. I swapped out the extremely boring black Alden laces for some nice AE cotton tan laces. Much better, IMO.

These are stupidly comfortable, even though they're on the double waterlock sole.

I am very tempted by the cigar boots in 11D. I had to sell my DC cigar cap toes a while back as they just didn't fit right, but I'm pretty positive these wouldn't have that problem. Unfortunately I just don't think I'm willing to spend the money right now.

    @ EP Dylan:

Can't seem to send a PM Dylan. I'm interested--took a 11D in Aberdeen Salzburger, but 10.5D in Barrie. What size Leydon? Thanks.

Do you find that Barrie boots run the same as Barrie shoes? I.e. I wear 10.5D in the unlined suede PTB. Would I be the same size in a shell cap toe boot in Barrie?

My Barrie LWBs fit exactly like my Barrie boots. Don't have any unlined Barrie.

You should be. Some, myself included, find Barrie boots more snug than shoes in the same size. Some members go with the same length but out one width for boots

My experience has been that Barrie boots can vary a little.

My J Crew Cap Toes fit a bit smaller than my 975s and my 1339 shell Chukkas boots fit a bit looser.

That said, it's not enough of a difference for me to alter sizing.

Anthony, like mghart, mentioned to me that these were a "medium" shade of Cigar. ie. :slayer:

The Dovers have landed. Little late to the party.

Look great. Got the top of a Horween stamp as well on one.

Hoping the rest of AoM have that cigar shade as well.

I love the shade these came in, seriously contemplating sending my 975 in for a refinish hoping they come back as dark as the Dovers.
