1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

I agree they look good with Jeans. I'd probably wear with a slimmer jean and a smaller cuff. The baggier jean with large cuff overwhelms the shoe a bit.

This is my first Plaza-like last shoe, and I got them in my TTS 8.5D, and you're right where this M-58 fit is a little longer (got some room in the toes) but it's fine with thicker socks for me. It's a beautiful shoe/makeup so it'd be a shame if Brooks Brothers didn't re-stock them

    Damn, Ben. Love it.

BTW, the flat welt on the Halleck looks spectacular.

I've worn suede bucks since I was 10 years old. I have coveted these shoes for several years now. I would probably drop $900 for a pair of these BNIB. Hell, I'd trade any pair that I currently own for this make-up (BNIB). [IMG]

Finally finished sanding down and coloring the edge on one of my AE Patriot loafers, I figured I better stop and take a few pics before attacking the second shoe.

I used Saphir fawn cordovan cream as the base color and then finished with two coats of AE chili edge dressing. I did not want to do full chili as the color is quite red by itself. Unfortunately the cordovan cream kind of blocked the edge dressing from making it an even color. I was not sure what to think at first but the splotchy finish kind of suits the casual look I am trying to accomplish. The uneven color also hides any black dye underneath that wasn't quite sanded off and it helps the transition to the black welt.

Overall I am pleasantly surprised at the end result and looking forward to finishing the second shoe this week, what do you guys think?

Before and after, cordovan bloom and all.

Long time lurker, first time poster..... I have really appreciated all of the amazing information (and photos) from all of the kind contributors to this forum.

Looking for assistance with recommendations for a good cobbler in the Orange County (or Southern California) area, who can work on shell cordovan and put some new heels on a pair of #9015.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!
