Context? How long ago did you purchase them? I only see the Roy boots (in 4 different leathers) on their site.

This is my first post in this thread, I am overwhelmed by the amount of knowledge in this thread, astounding. This fall I purchased a pair of the J Crew Indy boots, over time I have noticed what, for lack of a better term, appears to be some crackling. I presume this could only happen with dry leather which Horween should not be dry. So I had J Crew send me a second pair which arrived today, they appear to have a similar "issue." Am I crazy, is this a defect or will it go away? I have treated with Venetian Shoe Cream and Allen Edmonds Cleaner/Conditioner.

My brown CXL are all sorts of crackled too. Gonna just wear them out and see what happens.
