1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Quote:B&M also has a snuff WTB on commando with agatine (I think) eyelets on barrie. Was debating between those two but wanted to wait for a Plaza version. Glad Mike is doing yours though! Blend of everything I was looking for.

Found a pair of 'must haves' that are an 8D Barrie. I wear a 7.5E in Tru. I'm wondering if this will work?

When I tried an 8E in Tru I could fit a fingertip behind my heel and the back of the shoe, but the width worked. The width also works with a 7.5E (little tight at first but after some steps broke in nicely).

If the length of the 8E didn't work, the 8D will not be any better.

I suppose I was hoping that since they will be a little more snug, that will make up for the slightly longer length. I may just have to get in on the next order.

I was speaking purely about the length, but I doubt it would make that big a difference being a D width. If your length is 7.5 (Tru/Barrie) then I would stick to that, personally. I don't like adjusting widths to make lengths work.

What shoe are you looking at?

spoke to Kathy recently about sizing. she recommended keeping the same length in the different lasts and adjusting the width. the length in general doesn't change. before, sizing up was the only way to fit the different lasts because most stores carried a D only.

Great video, Disco Volante! Now I understand where those speed hooks got their name from. My boots must have that other kind of hooks, the slo-mo ones.

Anyone know the difference in leather and color between the Winn Perry and the Frans Boone Grant lasted captoe boots?

Exact opposite of the advice I got from Robert in the SF store. He said keep your Brannock width and adjust length: half size down for Barrie, TTS for Plaza.
