1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

While having never stepped foot in the madison shop, I can say without a doubt that Anthony (I believe is his name) has been nothing but professional. Emails responded to remarkably quick (from a retail standpoint), and follow up phone calls are almost immediate and short duration once on the phone (payment, size confirmation, address confirmation, terminate call and on with my day).

I'd try and give them another shot, if Anthony is available. Or give Kathy a call in DC if you do not have to verify fitment.

The Alden Madison guys can be "gruff" for lack of a better word at first, but they know their stuff.

In general, each Alden retailer (with maybe the exception of Epaulet and Alden DC) has its share of detractors. At the end of the day, if you access to the widest variety of models, you are going to have to get to know every retailer regardless of how that first interaction went.

I've purchased 3 boots from AOM in the last 8 months and I've had good interactions with the staff there even when just going in to get sized, buy shoe care stuff, etc. I even had to have one of my boots sent in to get refinished and they took care of it really quick. I'd give them another shot, but there's always SF or DC.

I gotta agree. I've had good experiences with AOM. I was especially pleased with the transparency and professionalism on the Ravello shortage.

I'm a relative novice in the Alden world (<6 months), but I've found most, if not everyone I've dealt with to be extremely helpful and willing to take a few minutes to chat with me. There are a few, IMO, that go above and beyond the call. Just like everything else in life, it's all about how you approach the situation.

I've gotten the majority of my shoes from AoM. They might not be quite as polished or as willing to talk as Kathy, but they have never been anything but great with me.

They look like they are lined. I really like my BB version (unlined) a lot, but I would trade mine in a heartbeat for a pair of those! Congrats and wear often and in great health my friend!

Ah Nashvegas... spring in Middle Tennessee is one of the most beautiful places one can find. Your Cigar cap toe boots are a wonderful choice for that climate and setting.
