This may be a dumb question, but is there an alternate to Alden's Leather Defender?
It seems like it would be something they are getting private labeled, made by 3M or someone similar.

I agree, BK. I HIGHLY doubt that Alden makes it. It's probably something from Kiwi or similar.

When I use it, it smells like something familiar but I can't quite place it.

Great shoes donl. That color is so rich.

Superb! Is it me, or do NST boots on Plaza have the center stitched portion elongated versus NST boots on Barrie/TruB? I fell in love with the NST on plaza after the pics from Leather Soul, so I may replace my Indy Color 8 on TruB. Would love a comparison shot with Barrie or another last.

Don, Are your speed hooks popping out? My top-most speed hooks are starting to pop out of the leather. This is the 3rd pair of boots that this has happened on.

Not on these but they are on my WT Boots....

I will warn you that the Alden Madison version doesn't have the brass eyelets - they are hidden. I returned them because, personally, I like MrDV's version better. MrDV, where did you get these from?

Mine are from leffot.
I like the brass as well. I want bnelson to put brass eyelets on my ravello lwb. I'm after the jcrew ravello lwb look.

Didn't see there was a box, thanks to the tips on here, my newest acquisition, CXL Wingtips with a commando sole.
Paired next to an older Snuff Suede as well.

Adam at Alden of Caramel = Real stand up dude.

This particular pair of CXL definitely has more reddish tones.

I believe that this is the Leffot version.

If not, then they had similar pair with brass eyelets.

I think Aberdeen nst shoes and boots have the best proportions. I like the spacing, shape, and stitching better.
