    I personally would not own both. I would pick my favorite and just own one.

    Personally I think there is enough of a difference with the Plaza to warrant having both.

    depends on the welt color. one light and one dark would be fine as they are very different.

    Thanks for the PSA, I picked up a pair of the Cigar cap toe balmoral.. I agree it's nuts these are still available..

    Do you guys know what the cigar shade is like? I may stick to Edward Green for captoes, but this makeup could be appealing as well.

    I think that Alden makes two levels - Cape Cod and Alden New England. Most here post the "Goodyear welt" Alden New England and these are generally made to the theoretical same level.

    Thank you for the info. I'm actually referring across all shoe companies(dress shoes). I know C&J has "handgrade" and "benchgrade". AE is machinemade with handwork on the lower end - this I know. As the shoes get more expensive, I assume the finer things are what separates the shoes into different tiers. My question is simply: are there tiers for shoe quality as there are tiers for suits like in the Hierarchy thread? If so, waht is the nomenclature?
