1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

I bought (and sold) a pair of mismatched monks, one calf, one shell. Didn't read the listing carefully enough when I bought, and made sure that I was very clear in my listing what they were, so as not to get a return.

Didn't wear them much, no more them a couple of times--exactly zero people noticed. I got rid of them more because I didn't have a need for black monks rather than due to the mismatch.

As long as the shell doesn't get scuffed, of course.

Sorry my friend but I will survive this one. Maybe beaten in the head a bit, which numerous members would love to see...

He is toying with us! But it is okay, because I have my Ravello NST Bluchers on today for a fun day of jury duty.

May be the best placed and most appropriate emoticon I've ever seen. Hilarious. Good luck.

I had to run an errand in Fairfield county yesterday. With all the excitement surrounding this recent TSM delivery, I figured I'd stop in, kick some tires, and get on some wish lists. I mentioned to my wife that I'd been there, and she asked, Did you get a pair of shoes? Judging by the way she asked, it made me think maybe I have a little shoe credit to burn.

Model that struck my fancy after seeing it in person was the alpine grain captoe boot. Certainly not top of my list, but it looks like a fine niche shoe for fall weather.

Also as an aside, for anyone who hasn't been down that lovely stretch of I-95: TSM has several billboards, and one has an Alden shell lineup. I always wonder if that's the only one of its kind in the states.

    Usual disclaimers apply:

You do not want to know what it costs when I bring my fiance with me to pick up shoes in the states.

It's a bloodbath.. for my wallet.

Long time lurker -- might as well make a splash by posting the first Ravello boot NST pics (arrived this morning). Note this is artificial office lighting and from an iPhone, but I included my dark brown calf Aberdeen tassels for some reference. I'm really happy with the shade. Mine have some very minor imperfections but definitely nothing warranting a return.
