1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

Just curious... Does anyone condition the linings of their Alden's? Neetsfoot oil?

I was debating that boot as well. It would be really crappy to get a defect and not be able to exchange. Its my first pair of Aldens (not considering my leffot preorder) and as rich and beautiful shell boots are, I felt like the crepe sole classed it down a bit. Thats just me. Its still one hell of a deal. Good luck and be sure to post some pictures!

While I have reservations about the crepe sole, I got a really good deal on these boots. From all accounts, I've heard that the crepe sole is super comfy. I'll give the crepe a shot and when it's time for a resole, if I don't love it, I'll put a commando or double leather sole on them.

Well, so much for Scothgrain shell from Anatomica. Spoke to them over the phone and last pair was sold yesterday.

    Damn...

Back to our regular programming. Chukka or LWB? LOL

Still comes with a steel shank, sorry bro! I am thinking of sending my Color 8 LHS to B. Nelson and have the soles redone and see if they will put a composite shank in instead.
Look nice and clean. Need a pure side shot or top down view to enjoy the modified.
