Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't these natty PTB's lined? I think you can expect greater creasing than this with the unlined brown chrmxl PTBs. Also, are your AE boots made with chrmxl??

Yes, sir they are lined and for sure the unlined brown version would show more creasing. The AE boots are also made of CXL, again lined though.

Are they 9D? I placed an order for this make-up in 9D which was subsequently cancelled. They actually told me they never had them in stock and that was a system glitch.

Yes they are 9D. Sorry to hear about your experience. I think they check stock manually and hence unreliable stock taking.

Unlined Dover from Leffot acquired from another SF member. I'm a big fan of the waterlock sole. These are super comfy.

I almost bought the ones from AofC but decided on the JCrew’s with the leather soles. Hard to find makeup though!

Very nice DonL... I've nearly pulled the trigger on the tan LWB several times in the past... regretting not doing it.

Those suede wingtips look great guys (tan and snuff)! I have some AE tan shortwings, so now I really have to get some Alden snuff suede longwings...

No comparison my friend, snag yourself either one when the opportunity presents itself!

I think that's about what you can expect from the unlined, chrmxl PTB. I suppose you can get slightly better results with a better fit and better care (i.e. shoe trees), but that leather is so supple and soft that you may not be able to avoid this outcome if you wear it frequently (3-4 times per week).

Can anyone who owns this pair comment? I am definitely interested in this make-up and I'm ready to pull the trigger, but I also fear that they will look like this after a few months of frequent wear.

I only wear these about once a week, but I would be shocked (and sad) if the ended up looking like that....they have definitely wrinkled but nothing like the pair listed on ebay......shoe trees go in immediately after they are taken off......I would guess that may not be the case with the pair on ebay

These are have developed wrinkles as well, but they seem to be linear rather than sporadic which does not bother me in the least.....same with the CXL tassels I have been wearing lately
