1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Wow--gorgeous! How long ago did EP do a Brixton on Plaza? All the ones I have seen are on Barrie.

Context restocked the color 8 tanker recently and sold out instantly? Is that what happened?

Shot them an email about restocking.

If I can land a Plaza lasted Indy first, I'll forgo the Context Tanker.

    Ooohh! One of my grails.

Would buy a pair in size 9.5 from anyone, even out of the back of a white van, without asking any questions.

^ Context does preorders for tankers. They likely just put up for sale one or two extra or that somebody bailed on.

You are correct, the cigars are plaza, #8 barrie.. Not sure where the 'alden for epaulet' came from in this context but these (cigar) were made up by Leather Sole

I think because the term "Brixton" was used. I thought that was an Epaulet term.

    So
Sorry for confusion, they were sold to me as Brixtons so I went with it.. but indeed they are plaza/cigar/LS (and I couldn't be happier)

It's just the name the retailer gives the particular model making it easier for everyone. Epaulet calling their model the brixton is easier than having to call them the Alden wingtip boot in cigar cordovan on barrie last.

So there is a difference in light antique and regular antique...not sure why I am just realizing that now...or is that not the case?

From what I've heard there is actually 3 tones. The one we all know. A "Mahogany" and another. @mdubs should be able to help out with that as well and maybe find some examples locked away in the vault. When he gets home of course. Or is AoDC really his home??? :)

wow! that's a very light cigar. Basically the same tone as the Ravello PTB. Beautiful collection.

One of my favourite pair from LS that my now wife bought for me about 3 years ago.
Question, is it possible to give these a bit of a shine?
I tried some Saphir Reno, it did clean them up quite a bit and give them back a bit of life.
Lastly, what can I use on the edging? They seem to be drying up a little.

    Thanks.

All them Ravello are looking good. The Brixton is on the Barrie Last, but have a flat welt and a tan "antique" edging. The LS version is magnificent, but is not a Brixton. But I see you got that now. Sorry they misinformed you. But your model is nicer than the Brixton.

As per someone's request, the TB Last Indy (401) versus the new DC Grant Lasted "Joseph Boot". Both are 9D.

When I get home, I will take a top down of the Plaza vs. Grant vs. TB indy.

I was literally JUST thinking this exact thing! That is as I was admiring the black pair I just picked up this evening. The roll continues :slayer:
