1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

I've purchased a couple pairs of non-stock sized Alden's through Leffot pre orders. Just email Che or Paul when the order goes live and they should add you to the order no problem. Only issue is you will probably have to pay in full, as opposed to the usual 20% down for stock sizes.

Have you never joined a list either? I am also forced to pre-order due to my desire to getting proper fitting shoes and I am not a D or E width. Although, I do not know if it's a pre-order if I have paid... It's just a request... :)

The AF110 is a great alternative if you live in a locale with poor weather like San Diego... ;-)

Quote:So for TSM they charge when it gets confirmed? Then refunded till delivery? I talked to Ed yesterday and may not have fully understood this part.

Correct. They charge then it gets refunded in a couple of days. You won't get charged again until they ship.

Quote:Thanks, maybe I just glossed over that part for some reason. Seems a bit odd but if that's how the game is played. If its just a submitted order will they call and let you know that its confirmed. So at least a little heads up?

Looking for a pair of casual boots, might be indy. Do shell or CXL durable enough for "often wear"?

For casual I would stick to CXL and it is durable enough to wear quite often.

My favorite boots that I continually receive praise/compliments on and can go casual or slightly more dressy are my Indy Color 8s....love them.

Both can be worn quite often and still look great, if that's what you're asking. Obviously though, they will look "lived-in" with some patina, which is what many here enjoy.

Wow, there have been some amazing models on display over the past couple of weeks. In thinking about my stable of Aldens, I've been seriously considering swapping my CXL Indys for shell. My Indys are worn for weekend casual wear and yard work. I wouldn't plan on babying them and want to be able to reach for them for rain and snow. Ok with wiping down and use Alden defender. Would be interested in thoughts and experience on shell Indys as "beaters."

Also, debating #8 (available now) vs cigar (not available now). Thanks all!

    Yes Sir.
I took the shots at night so they showed up pretty dark.
